Sasa Starovic

Sasa Starovic

Sasa Starovic is first year outside Serbia in cold Russia. Starovic is a new talent of Serbian volleyball, he should take place of Ivan Miljkovic in next years.

21 year old Serb played his best game untill now inth round of Russian Superleague and led Ural by scoring 29 points. Looks like he is getting comfortable in Ufa.

In the interview with the Russian media he said Ural’s head coach Gajic invitation was the reason he came to play for Superleague team. Back in Serbia Gajic is highly respected and Sasha hopes to learn a lot from him.

So far, because of the busy practice schedule, Starovich did not get chances to out to see the city, but he plan to do that soon. He already bought some warm cloth and is well prepared for the Russian winter.

His family would arrive in month or two. For now his is using Skype to talk with the family and Facebook to stay in touch with his fans. He likes to watch tennis and is a fan of Anna Ivanovich.

He saw the football match between Russia and Germany and was rooting for Russian team. We wish Sasha many good games in 2010 Russian Superleague season.
